Kebo Iwa by MnStrptrSkrn Kebo Iwa by MnStrptrSkrn
A second half of my "folklore illustration" assignment (the other half was done traditionally, with pen and watercolour. This is a visualization of the Balinese Kebo Iwa legend, depicting a scene where he was tricked by Majapahit's Mahapatih (Grand Governor/Vizier) Gajah Mada, whom asked Kebo Iwa in a fake truce, to help dig a large well (they say Kebo Iwa is able to create a large well only by diving his finger into the ground), when Kebo Iwa dug the well, Gajah Mada tell his men to bury Kebo Iwa alive. It didn't work and only serve to agitate Kebo Iwa. It's still a WIP though, as I lost my USB which contains the final piece :( This was done in 2011 actually.
